Car Wash Related Questions
How Can I Best Take Care Of My Vehicle's Appearance?
Through a regular program of washing, waxing and
shampooing. For a new vehicle
we recommend the following program: * Teflon Paint Sealant and Scotchguard
All Fabrics immediately after vehicle purchase * Car Wash every 1-2 weeks,
with every second to third wash being the Deluxe Wash * Armor All/Leather
& Vinyl Conditioner as needed * Express Wax or Teflon Re-Apply every 2 to
3 months * Carpet and Upholstery Shampoo as needed, but no longer than 6
months to one year.
For other than a new vehicle, start with a Complete Full Service auto detail and then follow the program outlined above.
[Back to Categories]What Is Included In A Full Service Car Wash?
Our Regular Full
Service Car Wash Includes:
1. Vacuum of seats, mats, carpets and ashtrays.
2. Exterior of vehicle washed by equipment in the car wash tunnel.
3. All non-film tinted windows cleaned by hand inside and out.
4. Vehicle hand dried with cotton towels.
Our Deluxe, Special and Super Washes include additional services designed to protect, enhance the appearance and extend the life of your vehicle's exterior. The Deluxe and Special Washes also include Wheel Bright, which is a special cleaner for your vehicle's metal wheels.
[Back to Categories]Do You Have Any Brushes In Your Car Wash?
No. We do not have any nylon or plastic bristle
brushes in the car wash. We do not use these types of brushes because they
can haze the finish of your car after repeated use. We only use
soft cloth which
actually polishes the finish of your car as it cleans.
How Long Does It Take To Run My Car Through
The Wash?
Our goal is a 15
to 20 minute car wash; we meet this goal
approximately 90% of the time. We know that washing your car is not one
of your favorite chores, and with that in mind we strive to get you in and
out of our facility --with a clean car--as fast as possible. If we fail
to do that, we sincerely apologize and will continue to strive to please
you in the future.
How Will I Know When My Car Is Finished?
One of our personnel will
raise their hand
or wave a towel and say “ready”
while standing by your vehicle. Be sure to give your cash register receipt
to him to claim your vehicle.
What Should I Do If I Have A Special Request?
Please inform our
Service Writer if you have areas of your
vehicle that need special attention or areas we haven't done to your satisfaction
in the past. He will either write a note on your windshield or put a Post
It note inside your vehicle to alert our personnel of your request.
Before you claim your vehicle, please check
your vehicle, and if your request has not been honored, inform a manager
or supervisor who will see that the job gets done forthwith.
What Does The Writing On The Windshield Mean?
These are codes to enable our people to program
the computer for any additional services
you may have purchased.
Why Do You Charge Extra For Minivans and Large
Vehicles?
We charge extra for minivans and large vehicles
because they have much more interior floor
area and
more & larger windows to clean. For
these reasons, it takes us a significantly longer time to vacuum and clean
the windows on these vehicles.
Is It Safe To Run A Car Through The Car Wash
With The Antenna Up?
No. While some antennas are designed to safely remain
on the vehicle (solid mast flexible, rubber that bends or sways), telescoping
antennas are not. You must turn off your
radio and lower or remove all antennas. The
Car Wash is not responsible for antennas not fully removed or lowered by
you.
My Car Alarm Automatically Locks The Doors.
What Should I Do When I Come To The Car Wash?
Systems that automatically lock a vehicle's doors
are becoming an increasing problem for us. We need your help and cooperation
in addressing this problem. Prior to leaving
your vehicle, please unlock and deactivate any systems that automatically
lock your doors. If your system cannot be
deactivated, consult with a car wash manager before you send your vehicle
through the car wash to devise a method to safely accommodate your vehicle.
Then always follow the agreed upon procedure when you visit us.
Why Should Pick-Up Truck Beds Be Free Of Debris,
Grease, Oil And Other Uncovered Items?
It is very dangerous
to other vehicles and employees because the cloth from our equipment can
get tangled and/or our high pressure blowers and wash nozzles can blow debris
out of the truck bed during the wash process. Please
remove any loose items
in the pick-up bed before the wash.
Do I Need To Remove My Bike Or Ski Rack?
To be absolutely safe, it would be
best if you removed
any bike or ski racks before coming to the car wash. If you decide to leave
the rack in place, we cannot be held responsible for damage to the rack
or to the vehicle. At minimum, racks should be properly and securely fastened
to the vehicle, and locked so they don't pop up.
Why Can't I Spray My Own Cleaner On My Wheels
Before My Car Is Washed?
There are two reasons why we ask you not to.
1. The first is a safety
concern. When you spray the wheels while on the car wash premises, the dirt
and oil and grease that comes off your wheels drips onto the floor, creating
a hazard for employees and other customers.
2. The second problem relates to possible adverse chemical reactions between
what you spray on your wheels and the cleaning solutions that we use in
the car wash process. It is possible that the two are not compatible and
may result in damage
to your wheels.
How Can I Be Sure I Received The Services I
Paid For?
The ticket given you by our Service Writer specifies
the services which you have purchased. While following your car through
the car wash process look for the lights
to come on as your car receives the extra
service through the arch. If the light does not come on, mention the problem
to the cashier or a manager and we will rerun your vehicle. If you want
to make sure you have received manually applied extras such as Armor All
on the tires, simply show your receipt and ask if the extras have been applied.
Why Is It Necessary To Run My Vehicle Through
The Car Wash More Than Once?
Every car has different kinds of dirt
on it depending on where you live or where the car has traveled since your
last wash. The way the dirt adheres to the car's surface also varies because
of different weather and exposure to the elements. Sometimes the dirt is
very sticky and it takes more than one pass through our system to break
down the bond that holds the dirt to the vehicles surface. We continually
adjust our cleaning process to overcome these factors, and these adjustments
are effective for a vast majority of the vehicles. The
few remaining ones
have to be processed more than once.
How Do You Clean Non-Factory Tinted Windows?
We clean these windows
upon request. It
is our experience that occasional cleaning of tinted windows at our facilities
is safe. You are advised, however, to follow the instructions of the professional
who installed the tint. As with all vehicles altered from factory construction,
we are not responsible for any damage to non-factory tinted windows.
Why Are Seats
Sometimes Moved?
We try not to move seats, but sometimes
it is dangerous for our drivers to drive
vehicles with a seat that hinders full control of the vehicle.
This is especially true with seats that are set
too far forward or too far back.
Sometimes our people just won't fit in the car. We feel it is better to
be safe than sorry. Sometimes
seats are also moved to assure a good vacuuming job under the seats.
Why Are Radio
And Other Instrument Settings Sometimes
Changed?
Our inside people try to get the dust off all the little dials without moving
the adjustments, but it is inevitable that a setting might be
changed inadvertantly.
We are just trying to do a thorough job. We appreciate your patience.
Do You Guarantee The Weather?
We wish we could, but since we can't we do the next
best thing by offering Rain Insurance:
If it rains within 72 hours of a paid car wash, return with your receipt
within three days after the rain stops and receive one free
exterior wash.
When Should My Ticket Be Stamped NO RAIN INSURANCE?
Your Rain Insurance entitles you to
one free exterior wash.
The ticket that you get for this free wash is stamped NO RAIN INSURANCE
because you have just received the one free wash your Rain Insurance entitled
you to.
Vacuum Related Questions
We vacuum the carpets, mats, seats and ashtrays. Seats get a quick once over, but getting into every pleat and crease is impossible, although we try. Our vacuum tools do not fit easily between seats and consoles, but we do try to reach these areas. Dog hair is almost impossible to vacuum. We suggest a shampoo several times a year because a wet vacuum extractor is the only way to remove the hair. If there is an area that is a particular concern to you, inform our personnel of your concern. You can help us do a better job by putting valuables and loose items you don't want thrown away inside glove boxes, consoles, hatchback areas or trunks.
[Back to Categories]
Do You Vacuum Ashtrays?
Yes we do. You can help us do our job more efficiently
if you open all ashtrays.
We ask you to remove all valuables
of any kind that you store in your ashtray.
Do You Vacuum Hatchback Areas And Trunks?
This is not part of our standard service. However,
during slow periods we can usually accommodate a special request for a trunk
or hatchback vacuum. Just open your trunk
or your rear door when your vehicle gets
to the vacuums. We would appreciate your understanding that we may not be
able to perform these services when we are busy.
Auto Detail Related Questions
Auto auto detailing picks up where our regular car wash services leave off. There are two primary areas of Auto auto detailing:
1. Deep Cleaning and
2. Vehicle Appearance Maintenance.
Deep Cleaning auto detail services include Carpet and Upholstery Shampooing, Leather and Vinyl Cleaning, Oxidation Removal from the paint with the use of cleaners and high speed buffers, acid rain and environmental fallout removal and correcting other problems with the vehicle's finish. Appearance Maintenance services include conditioning of leather and vinyl, Scotchguarding of carpets and cloth seats, waxing and sealing of the paint. Even with a regular routine of car washing, the surfaces of your vehicle lose their protective coatings over time, allowing dirt and other contaminants to penetrate. Carpets, leather, vinyl and paint are all subject to this phenomenon. Regular use of our Auto auto detail services cleans these surfaces and applies a new protective coating to them.

What Is The Difference Between Express And
Full Service auto detailing?
Express auto detailing
are fast, inexpensive services designed to maintain the appearance of vehicles
whose surfaces are in relatively good condition.
They are ideal for newer vehicles and vehicles that have been well cared
for over time through a regular routine of washing and waxing.
Full Service auto detailing is appropriate for older vehicles or those that may have been neglected. We devote a lot more time, use more powerful cleaners and conditioners, and special tools designed especially for these types of vehicles.

Why Don't You Accept Checks?
Our goal is to provide
efficient and fast service
to all our customers. Accepting checks would slow
down the transaction process considerably by adding extra steps such as
locating a checkbook and wallet (for ID), writing the check, examination
of ID by cashier, etc. Most of our customers prefer a quick, smooth transaction
with minimum amount of waiting. We do accept most
Debit cards, however.
What Credit and Debit Cards Do You Accept?
We accept a wide variety of Credit and Debit cards
including all VISA, Mastercard, American
Express and Discover. For other
cards, please ask a cashier if we accept your card before you get your car
washed.
We also accept ExxonMobil approved cards at our Pacific Highway and Mission Valley Locations.

Tip?
Yes. If you are paying
with a debit card, you can get up to $5.00
back for a tip on basic services and up to 10% the amount paid for any Express or Full Service auto detail. Just tell the cashier the amount you need when you pay for
your car wash.
Why Don't You Use A Punch Card Where You Get A Free Wash After 10 Washes?
We do even better. Here's how: We give you
a discount coupon on the back of your receipt that is good for $2 or $4
off the price of your next wash. If you use this coupon, you effectively
get a free car wash every five to seven visits.
